SWGi (www.swgi.ca) seeks a specialized client-oriented, legal admin professional for this exciting position with a downtown legal firm.
As a Business Development Specialist in the firm’s Client Development Department, you will reporti to and be working closely with the Toronto Regional Client Development Manager. This position will be responsible for all administrative and strategic requirements in support of a national proposal services function; liaising with other business development and marketing communications professionals to maintain tracking reports, databases, and to ensure important content is kept current.
This position will also help with business development tasks associated with practice group and lawyer planning including updating client and prospect lists, tracking activities and follow-up.

Education and Experience:
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 3 years of marketing experience within a large, professional services environment. Previous experience as a member of a larger proposal response team is considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable.
Knowledge and Skills:
- superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills;
- exceptional client service orientation;
- project management skills with ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments and work with interruptions under tight deadlines;
- analytical abilities and attention to detail;
- proficiency with computers and all MS Office 2007 applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint);
- general knowledge of the law firm business and/or partnership organizations would be helpful
- flexibility with work hours is required (including ability to work overtime on an urgent basis)
