JOB TITLE: Clinical Training Manager – Renal
JOB TYPE: 1 year contract
LOCATION: Mississauga, Ontario

Science of Staffing (www.scienceofstaffing.com) has an exciting opportunity for a Renal Clinical Training professional.
The Clinical Training Manager will be the adult education, technical and clinical subject matter expert for the renal business in Canada. This role works closely with the Renal Marketing, Sales and Clinical teams, as well as with the Health Systems training function to develop and deliver product and therapy training. The role also interacts regularly with the Sales training teams to leverage existing training material and builds further Canadian clinical content as required.
Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with Specialty Sales Managers, Clinical Consulting Managers and Human Resources.
• As training program content owner, you will develop, implement and evaluate on-boarding initiatives and renal business training programs.
• Conduct product and clinical learning needs assessments for renal sales and clinical teams.
• Identify gaps and measures in clinical sales training and develop recommendations.
• Develop methods of evaluating clinical sales training programs and prepare reports/updates to Renal Leadership Team and Human Resources. Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Clinical Consulting, and Health Systems in this process. This role is accountable for ensuring Renal Specialists and Clinical Consultants have the expertise required to fulfill their role and function as a member of the Renal Team.
• Support the sales management/in-field training initiatives by working collaboratively with the Regional Sales Manager and Clinical Consulting Managers to identify and prioritize field representative needs, and provide direct in-field training support as required.
• Develop and provide a communication strategy for Field Managers regarding field training support provided on a routine and ongoing basis.
• Optimize Canadian and global resources in clinical training to organize, develop and present content through various mediums (e.g. online, group sessions, customized programs).

Job Requirements:
Ideal Background:
• University Undergraduate Degree in Nursing or Health Science Related Field
• Demonstrated nephrology nursing experience in a variety of roles such as: clinical nurse, clinical educator, professional practice leader, program manager and/or clinical research
• Demonstrated experience in the ability to develop, implement and deliver training programs including new hire on-boarding initiatives, SOPs and clinical training programs for sales/clinical organizations
• Demonstrated ability to develop and support marketing product/therapy program launch initiatives
• Effective communication skills (oral, written)
• Effective project management skills
• Solid basis with scientific approaches and comfort with reading/critiquing scientific research
• Ability to understand renal market dynamics, customer needs and competitive intelligence in order to shape the development of renal clinical sales training program
• Combination of prior clinical, education, research and/or administration within a hospital environment
• Ability to develop methods for evaluating new training initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team
• Demonstrated ability to meet annual performance expectations
• Minimum 5 years in clinical nursing and 2 years as clinical educator/professional practice leader/clinical research within Nephrology field
• Willingness to travel 25-30% of the time (mostly GTA).
