Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Systems Specialist
JOB TYPE: Full-time

TAME Search (www.tameinc.com) seeks a strong Systems Support Specialist with at least 2 years experience to join their client, an innovative financial software development firm.

Overview:

As a member of the IT Services group, you will provide support for a suite of services, including hosted ASP Lending solutions, local LAN/Desktop and application support to our clients, primarily credit unions and our internal technology users. A balance of strong technical skills and exceptional customer service will allow you to compliment our team, helping us to provide and continually improve our exceptional technical services. The ability to work independently and as a team member is necessary in this sometimes fast-paced environment. You will be tasked with delivering technical solutions to clients from start to finish, following up with ongoing support as needed. In addition, you will focus on minimizing client downtime and impact during your support activities, being accountable and responsible for your actions at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the infrastructure (server farm, routers, etc.) for Credit Union ASP solutions.
- Troubleshoot physical network issues, isolating and correcting them in a timely fashion
- Provide technical support to end users.
- Assist Credit Union Technical support staff by providing them with 2nd level support
- Upgrade/replace network hardware as required
- Create and maintain network user accounts, shares, and security.
- Test, image, and install desktops to end users
- Educate credit union staff on new hardware and software installed, providing trouble-free upgrades and changes
- Assess the needs for system upgrades/changes to better serve business activities
- Assist management and offer insight/suggestions regarding IT-related purchases
- Evaluate new software/hardware, identifying the benefit for clients
- Build and test new images on new hardware (desktops and servers), ensuring smooth deployment to end users
- Keep client systems running efficiently, ensuring the integrity of client applications and data
- Ensure that security best practices be maintained and enforced during all support activities
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

- Relevant University degree or equivalent education plus related work experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar technical role
- Working knowledge of LANs, WANs, Servers, and PC desktop service and support in Windows Environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable dealing with business leaders, clients, suppliers, peers and colleagues
- Flexible and adaptable to changing demands and job duties
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while providing on-going support to clients
- Passion and commitment to deliver quality work at all times
- Proficient with common applications, such as MS Office, Windows, Server O/S’s, Telnet clients, VPN software, SQL Server, MS Exchange, Shavlik Netcheck, Cisco PIX
- Knowledge of security risks and how to mitigate those risks in Windows networked environments
- Genuine interest in creating excellent relationships with our clients
- Willing to travel as needed for on-site work
- MCSE, MCITS or MCTS certifications
