Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Trainer
JOB TYPE: Contract – 6 months
LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario
COMPENSATION: to $48/hour

SWGi (www.swgi.ca) currently requires a Systems Trainer for a contract with a Government agency.
 
Deliverables:
  • Carry out the training of staff, ensuring the successful delivery and implementation of the project
  • Perform presentations for regions and organizations in regards to project
  • Deliver one-on-one, classroom-style instructor-led and web training to various facilities
  • Work with standard and implementation team to develop, coordinate and setup training
  • Maintain solid understanding submission processes
  • Conduct end-of-training survey and follow-up surveys with trainees
  • Assist with continual process improvement, lessons learned and best practices with respect to training
  • Assist with the creation and update of training material such as end-user manual/guides, presentations and references
  • Collaborate with the standard and implementation team through all phases of the implementation and maintenance
Job Requirements:

Knowledge / Experience/Certification/Designation/Education

  • Experience in the development, design and delivery of training material for both technical and non-technical users at the specified experience level.
  • Must plan the presentation of complex information in ways that engage and stimulate learners, and promote its retention
  • Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of accounting, accounting principals, GAAP, and the ability to convey these principals through a financial application
  • Ability to lead / manage a team of individuals
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to teach in a classroom setting, small group settings, individual one-on one customized training as well as webinar
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and motivational skills as well as oral communications and writing skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to react in a changing environment and think outside of the box
  • Group presentations on technology use e.g. learning and content management systems
  • Ability to create and update online, multimedia and written training tools
Other:
  • Experience in the Ontario healthcare sector.
  • Effective speaker, with the ability to convey complex/technical information in a simple/understandable manner while ascertain if students are understanding the main points in training
  • Change Management Experience 
  • Ability to travel throughout the province of Ontario as needed
  • Takes initiative, works well in a team environment, or as a self starter
  • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
  • Candidate needs to have accounting knowledge and/or experience
