Maplehill Group (www.maplehillgroup.com) requires a self-starter with experience in managing software relationship and contracts for their Telecommunications client.

Job Summary:

Responsiblilty for a portfolio of Software Suppliers and key Contract Manufacturers which includes execution of request for quotation activities and contractual relationships as well as the negotiation of commercial pricing and associated terms with these suppliers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works closely with R&D and/or Product Management on specifying the commercial terms for software supply relationships/contracts
• Ensures that the operational aspect of the software contract is executed at the business unit level.
• Monitors and ensures compliance/implementation of all contract manufacturer contracts related to the product cost. This includes ensuring that the company is realizing the benefit of cost reduction commitments, leading all price reviews and the execution of any exchange rate fluctuation provisions, etc.
• Manages the overall commercial relationship with the contract manufacturer by monitoring the supplier performance based on critical indicators.
• Responsible for the RFQ and/or negotiation process with the contract manufacturer for preproduction and production requirements. This includes responsibility for the complete quote analysis, inclusive of the transparent BOM and NRE (non-recurring engineering) costing provided by the Contract Manufacturers, and the supplier selection recommendation.
• Develops business case opportunities for manufacturing relocation projects and participates on cross-functional project teams to execute these initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Experience in dealing with contract manufacturers (global scope) and associated contractual supply agreements;
• Some experience in managing software relationship and contracts is desirable;
• Business or Economics university level degree;
• Strong negotiation and cost evaluation skills;
• Self starter, capable of working effectively in an individual contributor role;
• Experience in working as part of cross functional teams across various geographical locations;
• Demonstrated organizational, communication, problem solving and analytical skills;
• Experience in the electronics industry is a must;
• Proficiency in French or German as a second language is an asset.
